After Vitalize Peel®, your skin will be tight, mildly irritated, tacky and have an orangish hue. The color changes are temporary, lasting only a few hours. The skin tightness will last until peeling begins. This usually starts between 48-72 hours and can last for two to five days. It is important that you do not pick or pull the peeling skin. Premature peeling can cause cracked, raw skin that may develop post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is essential to avoid any other skin procedures until the skin heals. Restarting your usual skin cares should be timed appropriately. We recommend you apply a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily for at least two weeks and avoid direct sunlight for at least one week.
