Illuminize Peel® is a non-invasive, very superficial chemical peel that may be used on all skin types. It uses a unique approach to chemical peeling with a new generation of alpha-hydroxy acids in combination, phytic acid with the commonly used peeling agents salicylic acid and resorcinol. Illuminize Peel® is a two step gentle peel resulting in mild skin flaking. It works best to address mild imperfections and improves clarity, color, and skin texture. It also enhances skin glow and helps restore a more youthful appearance. First-time chemical peel clients may prefer Illuminize Peel® as it has little recovery time. Illuminize Peel® peel can be applied every two weeks until the desired results are achieved. Results are cumulative and you will see maximum benefits with a series of treatments.
After the Illuminize Peel®, the treated skin may be red, tight, dry, and mildly irritated. You should look normal the next day and can wear makeup if you wish. It will probably cause some mild skin flaking 3-4 days after the treatment. Applying moisturizers will be helpful for flaking and dryness. We recommend you apply a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily for at least one week. You should avoid other skin procedures until skin sensitivity resolves.
